5. Checklist before you hand a template over

Every merge field is {{ lowercase_underscored }} with double braces.

Every field name appears in the list in Section 3 (copy-paste, don't retype from memory).

No field is split across different fonts/bold/colour (retype any that were pasted).

Address fields (recipient_address, firm_address) are on their own lines.

You uploaded it to Precedents → Templates, generated a test document against a real matter, and read the whole thing — no {{ }} text left visible except fields you know are intentionally empty.

Any firm/solicitor field you used (SRA number, VAT, solicitor phone) actually filled in on the test document — if blank, ask a Firm Admin to complete Settings → Firm Settings → Branding (or the solicitor to complete their profile), not a template fix.
