How to read every report on this page
Two things apply to all the reports below, and matter more than any individual column:
A figure that reads "not recorded" or "not yet described" is not zero. When a payment is received, CaseConnect works out how much of it was profit costs and how much was disbursements (and the VAT on each) — this is what these reports are built from. If it couldn't work that out for a particular payment (usually because it's a partial payment or was migrated from another system), that payment is left out of the split rather than silently counted as £0. Look for a line reading "Receipts not yet described" at the bottom of the report — if it isn't £0.00, some of your real income is missing from the figures above it. See Payments and VAT split for how to find and fix these.
Net of VAT, always. Every income figure on these reports is net of VAT unless the report is specifically about VAT. VAT isn't the firm's money to begin with, so it's excluded from income and from any fee-share calculation.
